Full Description

The Chamonix valley is one of the World capitals of climbing. Superb granite cracks and slabs on the Mont Blanc side of the valley combined with awesome gneiss on the Aiguille Rouge side. Long multi-pitch climbing and sports climbing all in one area.

Mountain Guides Italy is specialised in organising custom made rock climbing courses and guided trips for individuals or small groups. In single-pitch climbing we can work with groups from one to five people per Guide. In multi-pitch, the ideal climbing situation is on a one to one basis, or one to two.

We do not have pre-set dates for our courses or trips because we work around the needs and technical level of our clients. For every season and type of weather we will find the perfect location.

We provide superb rock climbing experiences for beginners, families, intermediate and advanced climbers.

Chamonix is very accessible being only a 60 minute drive from Geneva airport.

Example Itinerary

It is for you and your guide to decide the exact makeup of your booking however, these itinerary days shown below are an example of how a booking for this activity could be structured.

Day 1 - Getting to know you	What ever your level, before we start climbing, we need to go though a series of routine exercises like belaying and abseiling, protection placing and removal (Trad routes), communication. We will then focus on having fun!
Day 2 - Single pitch or multi-pitch rock climbing	Depending on how day one went, we will choose the best crag or route according to your level and the weather conditions.
Day 3 - Single-pitch or multi-pitch rock climbing	We live day by day, so each day we will select a location that is ideal for your level and needs.

Prerequisites

Novice: no previous or very little climbing experience is required.

Beginner: you have some rock climbing and/or mountaineering experience. You should be able to lead up to French grade 4c in sports climbing.

Intermediate: you are gaining confidence in rock climbing and/or mountaineering. You should be able to lead up to French grade 5c in sports climbing.

Advanced: you are a confident rock climber and/or mountaineer. You should be able to lead up to French grade 6b in sports climbing.

Mixed ability groups and families are welcome in single-pitch climbing.

Equipment Required

Technical equipment: harness, helmet, climbing shoes.
Personal equipment: 20 litre backpack, 1 litre water bottle, provisions (energy bars, chocolate, dried fruit, sandwiches), comfortable climbing clothes.
