Single-pitch Rock Climbing in the Brenta Dolomites

    Full Description

Single-pitch climbing is the perfect situation to learn the basics or improve your rock climbing skills. The areas where we work have dozens of climbing crags with thousands of fantastic bolted routes. For every season and type of weather we will find the perfect location, also according to how many people are in the group. Kids and friends that don't climb, but would like to join you, are more than welcome.

Mountain Guides Italy is specialised in organising custom made rock climbing courses and guided trips for individuals or small groups. In single-pitch climbing we can work with groups from one to five people per Guide. We do not have pre-set dates for our courses or trips because we work around the needs and technical level of our clients.

Our single pitch climbing trips and courses are held in and around the Brenta Dolomites. We advise to book at least 3 days so that you can enjoy the area that we will choose to climb. If you just book a one day trip, that will be at Cimbergo in Val Camonica. For multiday bookings, the ideal is to spend a few nights in the mountains in a "Rifugio" in the Brenta Dolomites. When the weather is not suitable for climbing in the mountains, we go to Arco di Trento in the Sarca Valley where it is possible to climb all year round.

    Example Itinerary

It is for you and your guide to decide the exact makeup of your booking however, these itinerary days shown below are an example of how a booking for this activity could be structured.

Day 1 : Getting to know you

What ever your level, before we start climbing, we need to go though a series of routine exercises. According to your experience, this could take from a few hours to a couple of days. These are the topics: basic climbing technique, rope work, knots, rock climbing equipment, belaying and abseiling, rock climbing technique, placing and removing gear.

    Day 2 : Single-pitch rock climbing

Depending on what was covered on day one, we will continue the basic training today, and choose the best crag according to your level and the weather conditions.

    Day 3 : Single-pitch rock climbing

We live day by day, so each day we will select a location that is ideal for your level and needs.
