Road Biking In The Italian Riviera

    Full Description

Sanremo, Laigueglia, Alassio: these are just a few of the famous cycling locations in and around our base in Finale Ligure. Together with you, we will make a daily schedule, depending on the weather conditions, your motivation and preparation. We will take care of the guiding and logistics: you will just have to concentrate on your riding!

Join us to ride the epic Melogno and Passo di Teglia passes as well as many other lesser known, but no less challenging climbs. Pesto alla Ligure, Pigato white wine, seafood from the Mediterranean, focaccia bread... what a place to cycle! We can organise your cycling holiday for you, including every detail from when we pick you up to when we transfer you back to the airport at the end of your trip.

We have been serving cyclists for many years and we have put together a comprehensive range of services to ensure you have nothing to worry about except for riding your bike.

    Example Itinerary

It is for you and your guide to decide the exact makeup of your booking however, these itinerary days shown below are an example of how a booking for this activity could be structured.

    Day 1 - Arrival

Arrive in Finale Ligure with your own vehicle or with our bookable van transfer from one of the local airports. Check-in to your hotel or apartment, acclimatize, meet your Guide and check your bike and equipment. Relax, you are on holiday, on the beach, in Italy, with your bike!

    Day 2 - Arnasco

Meet your Guide in your hotel. Bike and equipment check. Briefing for the day. Warm-up ride to Arnasco and back to Finale Ligure. This is a perfect introduction ride to the Italian riviera. Undulating terrain with very little traffic, through vineyards and olive groves with amazing sea views. Km 60 Level 2

Day 3 - Ventimiglia, Pieve di Teco and Imperia

Catch the train to Ventimiglia. Be prepared because today we have a long climb from sea level up to Triora, ieve di Teco and Passo Teglia. But the difficulties of the itinerary are compared to it's beauty: mountain sceneries that you will appreciate even more because you have conquered them with your own legs. After an appetitive in Imperia, we will catch the train back to Finale. Km 88 Level 3/4

Day 4 - Alassio and Albenga

Alassio and Albenga We cycle from Finale to Albenga, Alassio then Andora along the coast road with fantastic views. We then head inland to Testico, 473 metres above sea level, a stage of the Giro d'Italia 2016. From here, a fantastic scenic road takes us to Alassio and then back to Finale Ligure via Borgio Verezzi. Km 100 Level 3/4

Day 5 - Passo del Melogno and Castelvecchio di Barbena

Passo del Melogono and Castelvecchio di Barbena Today is a big day. Start from Finale with an 20km climb from sea level up to 1000 metres above sea level to Passo Melogno following the old road. Enjoy a thrilling 8km descent in a fairy tale spruce forest all the way to Calizzano. After a shot of espresso continue to Bardinetto nd enjoy the "perfect" sea view descent to Toirano. After a refuel break, we climb up to the medieval town of Castelbianco di Barbena and back to Calizzano. Road Biking In The Italian Riviera Reviews

    Italian riviera great cycling

"Now I understand why so many professional cyclists live and train on the Italian Riviera in Winter! To be able to ride in Summer clothing in mid March, while in Northern Europe it is still Winter, is a bonus. And what to say about the sea views, the great rides, the little villages, the espresso, the Ligurian for and wine… Thank you so much, we will be back!"
