Example Itinerary
It is for you and your guide to decide the exact makeup of your booking however, these itinerary days shown below are an example of how a booking for this activity could be structured.
Day 1 : Off-piste skiing technique and avalanche rescue training |
We will spend the day skiing using the lift system to ski some of the best off-piste runs. We will be working on your technique with video analysis. At some point we will make a break and look at the videos of you skiing. |
Day 2 : Off-piste skiing technique and steep skiing |
Today we will be fine tuning your off-piste technique and skiing a couple of the steep couloirs in the resort. We will also familiarise with some orientation skills that are always useful in the case of bad weather and rope work training if you are interested in this topic. |
Day 3 : Glacier travel and bootpacking |
The Adamello glacier is the largest in the Italian Alps and is the ideal terrain to learn how to ski mountaineer safely on glaciers and deal with bootpacking on steep snow and mixed terrain ridges. |

Advanced Ski Mountaineering Course Reviews
steep skiing
"Passo Tonale is a great destination for steep skiing. With our Guide, we skied Canale del Dito (1500m descent) the first day and Canale di Casamadre (1700m descent) on he second day. We really appreciated all the technical advice and professional approach from the Mountain Guides Italy team. "
