  • MASSIMO FALETTI:

  • Massimo Faletti | UIAGM / IFMGA Mountain Guide

I started skiing and climbing as a child. While training to become a Mountain Guide, I worked for eleven years in the Guardia di Finanza Mountain Rescue Team. Mountain Guiding is now my full time job. I have worked for the Pozza di Fassa, Madonna di Campiglio and Friends of Arco Guide Schools in Italy and for two Summers for the Mount Cook Guides in New Zealand. Presently I work with primary, secondary schools and the Trentino Alpine Club (SAT), transmitting my passion for the mountains to younger generations by organising snow science, rock climbing and outdoor courses. I have organised expeditions to the Himalayas climbing Ama Dablam with clients, to Patagonia climbing the longest route on Fitz Roy (Afanasieff). Some films have been made about my expeditions: speleology/mountaineering in Mexico (Sotano by Coral Climb), a new route on Roumsiki Tower in Cameroun (a film for Geo and Geo by Coral Climb). I cooperate with Tigress Productions for Animal Planet and Coral Climb Media Set for film and television programme productions. In my free time I like to search for new boulder areas (like Val Daone) and open new climbing routes in the Dolomites and Adamello Mountain Ranges.

  • MATTEO AIELLI:

  • Matteo Aielli | Italian federation MTB teacher

I was born in Milano and at the age of 5 I moved to Ponte di Legno. with my family I have always been involved in outdoor activities and nature has always had an important influence on me. I am an active person who loves to practice lot’s of different sports. In winter I have competed for many years in alpine skiing and during the last few years I have started of ski mountaineering and cross country skiing. During the Summer, cycling is definitely the sport I practice the most. Seeing I grew up in Ponte di Legno surrounded by the Alps, cycling for me has always meant mountain biking. I took part in several MTB marathon competitions such as the Sella Ronda Hero. A few years ago I also joined a triathlon team and have been road biking as well. I am an Italian federation MTB teacher. During Spring 2016 I cycled from Ponte di Legno to Santiago de Compostela (Spain) on a touring bike with bags and my tent. When I am not on two wheels, I like to go trail running, hiking in the mountains and pick mushrooms in the forest. I lived in Finland for a few years and also there, my desire for nature adventures took me hiking between the Finnish and Norwegian Lapland, fishing in Summer and ice fishing in early Spring. I have hiked several treks with my tent in some Finnish national parks. I enjoy the mountains as my training grounds, as much as I do guiding people on the same trails, with the correct pace that will allow them to enjoy and get to know the places I love.
